Investment Process

In creating unique solutions for both individuals and institutions, we utilize a time proven, disciplined investment process. The process identifies your goals, constructs an appropriate strategy, implements the investment plan and monitors it for effectiveness through the ebb and flow of global economic cycles and your personal life events. We want clients to have a full understanding of the process so they are comfortable staying the course or approving the necessary adjustments during times of volatility or uncertainty in the market.

  • Discovery - The investment process is kicked off with a meeting to gather all essential information to aid us in developing a plan that meets your specific financial goals and objectives. We discuss your current situation and your vision for the future.
  • Strategy – Using the information gathered during the discovery phase we create a plan and an implementation strategy which recommends various options and solutions to achieve your financial goals. Included is access to investments not available to the retail investor. Once completed, the plan acts as the framework for future actions and your source for benchmarks against which we monitor your progress and performance. An investment policy statement (IPS), your asset allocation, and the implementation strategy are formalized and documented.
  • Implementation - The implementation of the approved plan and strategy is initiated taking current economic, market and tax considerations unique to your situation into account.
  • Monitor and Report - Monitoring of the investments and fund managers against a benchmark is done on a regular basis. Custom quarterly performance reports are generated and, in conjunction with custodial statements, are provided and reviewed with each client. New ideas and opportunities are presented during review meetings with an eye out for ways to enhance your plan.
  • Review and rebalance - As appropriate, each portfolio is reallocated and rebalanced after reviews to bring it in line with the approved long-term risk model and current market/economic conditions.
  • Reaffirmation - We confirm the basis used to develop your plan learned at the initial discovery phase, has not changed. If it has, the investment process begins a new.
