Markets change. Your life changes. So your investment plan has to be finely tuned to both. That’s why we take such thorough care, not just in creating and implementing your investment plan, but also in continuously monitoring and improving it.

We think that the investment process should allow you to keep your eye on the big picture. That’s why we take care to achieve a balance of discipline and flexibility. Our process provides the structure needed to meet your financial goals. At the same time, it’s flexible enough to accommodate the economic and personal changes that are bound to occur over your lifetime.

Even though the Financial Perspectives investment process is thorough, it’s not complicated. Your advisor will lead you through six simple, well-defined steps:

1. Discovery

We ask questions, then listen, then listen some more. Then we develop a plan that meets your specific financial goals and objectives. We discuss your current situation, your short-term needs, and your vision for the future.

2. Strategy

We suggest ways to achieve your financial goals while taking into account current economic, market and tax considerations. Finally we formalize an investment policy statement (IPS), which is your unique investment plan and implementation strategy

3. Implementation

We put your plan into effect.

4. Monitoring and Reporting

We keep close track of your investments, measuring them against benchmarks. We generate custom quarterly performance reports and custodial statements, and review both with you. We also present you with new ideas and opportunities as they arise.

5. Reviewing and rebalancing

We review your portfolio to bring it in line with the desired risk targets and current economic outlook. Then, as appropriate, we reallocate and rebalance.

6. Reaffirmation

Back to the future: Is the plan that we started with still appropriate for you? If not, the investment process begins anew.
